GRANTS FOR EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND TRAINING MATERIALS

The QLDSESVA has established a grants program in the category of Equipment, Supplies and Training.

This category provides for the provision of financial assistance to QSES groups to meet operational and administrative requirements in respect of equipment, supplies, training and other items where these needs are not able to be met by State or Local Government funding.

All QSES groups are eligible to apply for grants under this program in accordance with the specific guidelines established for each round of grant funding.

The following table provides additional guidance in the form of an example (non-exhaustive) list of items that may be covered in this category: 

• Appliances: Fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, air conditioner unit, fan, kettle, urn, barbeque, eskies.

• Building and Site: Water tank, bore installation, site generator, renovation/extension, repair/maintenance, shed, fence, security cameras.

• Furniture and Fittings: ccabinets, desks, tables, chairs, lockers.

• Gifts and Awards: Trophies or other items for volunteer recognition at a group level.

• Information and Communications Technology: Laptops, computers, tablets, data projectors

• Office Equipment: Photocopiers, printers, laminators

• Personal Items for Operational Use: Torches, knives, multi-tools. 

• Training (for Group): Training materials, cost of external provider
